Welcome to grade 2! We have had a busy first week, getting to know each other, setting routines and class expectations. Our class listened to the story "What if you Had Animal Feet" written by Sandra Markle and discussed what kind of feet they would rather have. Students did some writing about the different animals and the facts they learned. On Friday, we did a small group activity where they had to work together to create the longest paper chain with only 2 pieces of paper and 1 piece of tape. It was interesting to watch them work together, sharing ideas, making sure each person in the group had a job. We discussed the task afterwards and they were all able to share how they worked together.
